I love images and type, type and images!

My creative journey started in England in my teens when I first learned to use a camera and developed a passion for black & white landscape photography. In my 20s, I turned to graphic design and discovered the thrill of combining images with typography.

Just a handful of years ago, I discovered the additional thrill of teaching graphic design. The experience was so rewarding that it eventually led to my pursuit of an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts followed by the appointment to a full-time role in academia.

These days, my personal work often includes atypical materials such as wood, string, barbed wire, and metal. I love the visceral effect they have on communicating various concepts.

My work—both professional and personal—has been recognized with awards from International Design Awards, Creative Quarterly, Indigo Design Awards, International ARC Awards, Graphic Design USA, Print Regional Design Awards, Davey Awards, AIGA 100 Show, and DesignArts Utah.

Cheers!
